Meet the GTMA Shadow Moogi Dragons

Kids don’t just learn martial arts—they develop important character lessons alongside the GTMA Shadow Moogi Dragons. Through each dragon’s unique personality and values, children are introduced to confidence, friendship, strength, kindness, loyalty, and perseverance in a fun and memorable way they can carry beyond the classroom.

GOH-DEN

Means Strong

Goh-Den is a very hard worker. Don't let his size fool you, he is very strong and determined to be able to do anything he sets his mind to. He knows if he works hard enough, he can do anything!

Means Loyalty

Eui-ri is the most athletic of the dragons. He is honest and loyal. He believes that a dragon is very special animal, and it is their responsibility to live up to that.

The Best Way to Know Is to Experience it!

Every child responds differently to a new experience. A trial gives your child the opportunity to get comfortable, join in at their own pace, and begin building the confidence to try something new—all in a positive and encouraging environment.

A Positive First Step

Trying something new is a big moment for a young child. Our goal is to make that first experience welcoming, encouraging, and fun so your child can feel comfortable, participate at their own pace, and leave feeling proud of what they accomplished.

  • This is by far one of the best places ever, especially if you have a child that has ADHD. It will help mellow them out. I couldn't be more happier. If I could give a star rating of 1000 I would.

  • Great instructors and great classes! The atmosphere is welcoming, the training is excellent, and the programs are affordable. No regrets about choosing KMA!

What ages is Shadow Moogi for?

Shadow Moogi is designed specifically for children ages 3–6. Classes introduce young children to martial arts through age-appropriate activities that help develop confidence, coordination, focus, listening skills, and respect—all while having fun.

What happens during my child's trial class?

Your child will get to experience a Shadow Moogi class alongside our instructors and other students. They’ll participate in warm-ups, movement activities, basic martial arts skills, and fun exercises while getting comfortable with our instructors and class environment.

What if my child is shy or doesn't want to participate at first?

That’s completely okay. Every child adjusts at their own pace, and our instructors are experienced in working with young children. We’ll encourage your child without putting pressure on them and give them time to become comfortable with the class.

Does my child need any martial arts experience?

Not at all! Shadow Moogi is designed with beginners in mind. We start with the basics and help each child learn and progress at a pace that is appropriate for their age and ability.

Will my child have to fight or spar?

No. Shadow Moogi focuses on building foundational martial arts skills, coordination, confidence, listening, respect, and self-control in a safe and structured environment. Young children are introduced to skills in ways that are appropriate for their age and development.

What should my child wear to the trial?

Comfortable clothing that allows your child to move freely is perfect for their trial. Athletic pants or shorts and a T-shirt work well. We’ll explain everything you need to know about uniforms if you decide to continue after the trial.

Can parents watch the class?

Yes. We understand that parents want to see the environment, meet the instructors, and experience how their child responds to class. Your trial is an opportunity for both you and your child to see whether KMA feels like the right fit.

What happens after the trial?

After the trial, we’ll answer any questions you have and talk with you about whether Shadow Moogi is a good fit for your child. If you’re ready to continue, we’ll explain the available program options and next steps—there’s no pressure to make a decision before you’re ready.
